Next, we have “Brotherhood By Fire” by Lindy Bell, and let me tell you, this love story pulls on every one of your heartstrings. It centers around firefighter Andy Garret and his wife, Katie. Their love is strong, and their bond is unbreakable, evident throughout every scene in the book. Even though they face one of life’s biggest challenges, cancer, their love for each other and the love of the community shown to them is an example of how we should strive to be. It’s a love story and a beautiful one, too, because Lindy does a brilliant job of showing how when love is applied to everything we do, the impact on others far exceeds our wildest expectations. Here’s a quick trailer of the book…
On a personal note, I can’t say enough about author Lindy Bell. She has a heart of gold and was an absolute pleasure to work with. When I auditioned for her book, I was hopeful I’d be selected, but in this industry, you never know. I was thrilled when she reached out to me and even more thrilled to have walked away from the production with a new friend. She’s currently working on her second novel, which should be available in the fall of this year.
Here’s a direct link to Audible… and I may have a few promo codes available 😉
Andy is passionately in love with his wife, Katie, but he also loves being a firefighter, and when he is diagnosed with cancer, his whole world is turned upside down. What seemed so certain only days before is now an unknown. Andy tries to protect Katie by not telling her, but her fears and his increasing pain and moodiness only succeed in fueling a growing divide between them.
The fire station and its comradery are Andy’s refuge, but Station Officer Lt. Mike Bentley wages a vendetta against Andy, only making Andy more determined not to reveal weakness of any kind. In spite of Bentley, the C shift crew rallies to support Andy until events take a downward turn.
Firefighters face a myriad of dangers, but invisible dangers can pose the greatest threat of all.
Will courage, duty, and even love be enough to save Andy from this unseen threat? If the worst should happen, would his greatest legacy be the love of the fire service or his love for his wife?
Time can only tell because, in the end, the unforeseen might have the greatest impact of all.
Last but certainly not least, Sheriff Deputy Colby Watts is BACK in “Manhunt at Sage Creek: A Colby Watts Thriller, Book 2” by Mac Worden.
In May, I had the pleasure of working with Mac to introduce Colby Watts to the audiobook world in “Deputy in the Crosshairs,” and I have to admit, I kinda love being this guy. He’s cool, he’s calm, he can be a little awkward, and he’s a complete badass who chooses the right thing even if it means harm to himself.
It wasn’t a question of “if” I’d narrate book 2 when Mac asked me, only a matter of when! I’m happy to report that we wrapped production last week, and it’s now available on Audible and wherever you get your audiobooks.
The grim discovery of a child’s remains leads ex-Ranger, Colby Watts, on a pulse-pounding chase for a serial killer.
The small town of Wood Creek is rocked by the discovery of a killer’s lair and the fresh remains of a child are found in the remote hills of Sage Creek National Forest.
In an isolated forest service cabin, Vuk Servy has found shelter and a quiet place to fulfill his dark desires. When a trip to town brings Vuk into contact with young April Hudson, the twisted hunter finds he cannot live without her.
Through sheer determination, Watts picks up the trail of this psychotic killer and tracks him through the forest only to lose him in a snowstorm. With a young girl’s safety on the line, Watts will stop at nothing to bring justice to Butte County.
Manhunt at Sage Creek is a modern, western-themed story about strong men and women who live in the wide-open country. If you enjoy stories about loyalty, respect, honor and the simple truths of life then you’ll enjoy Colby Watts Thrillers.
Listen to Manhunt at Sage Creek today to bring justice to Wood Creek.
