Some projects find their way to you, and you immediately know it was meant for you. That’s how I felt when I auditioned for “In This Room…”
When it comes to books or films, I enjoy almost any genre because I appreciate the art form and the work that goes into it. However, there’s nothing better than a psychological thriller. The mystery surrounds each character. The thrill hangs on every word because you never know when something will be said that changes the story.
I remember watching “The Number 23″ starring Jim Carrey and being mesmerized by his performance. As a Jim Carrey fan, I spent many years leaving a bathroom fanning my ass, saying, “DO NOT GO IN THERE,” and many other bits from his career. So when I saw him in this film become something so different from the characters he had played before, I knew that one day I wanted to do something similar.
So when the audition manuscript for “In This Room…” landed in my lap last year, I dug in and went to town! I have to tell you, it was so much fun! This story has so many twists and turns that keep you guessing. I had a friend recently listen to it, and she said it “Felt like a theatrical performance.” That was exactly what I was going for, and I’m thankful Bradley Carter gave me the creative freedom to do just that.
You’ll love this one if you’re a fan of psychological thrillers. Here’s a link to Audible. Give it a listen, and whether you enjoyed it or hated it, give it a review and let me know your thoughts by emailing Brandon@Bpvoiceovers.com.
Hell inside a house!
Calvin and Addelyn Delacroix were lifelong sweethearts who married right after college. With inherited wealth and the birth of their daughter, they were destined to live a life of means. After moving into a new home, Calvin slipped into a dark state of mind, and as his secrets began to unravel, he led those closest to him kicking and screaming into the deepest parts of his insanity. Now, he meets with an appraiser, Wayne Graves, to rummage through what’s left of the Delacroix’s property. As they revisit each room, Calvin is torn between memories of the wholesome life he shared with his family and the bloodstained ruins of a nightmare he put them through. In time, he discovers the past, no matter what he remembers, is not always what it seems to be.
In This Room… is a riveting, psychological thriller from the award-winning author of Bodhi Crocodile, hell-bent on taking you for a ride of nail-biting suspense and undergoing the twists and turns of this love story gone wrong.
